Well, I was planning to do a lot of bow fishing but the bass fishing has been so good on Brookeville lake here in Indiana we couldn’t get out of the Skeeter bass boat the past week. I love to catch fish shallow and it has absolutely been ON this week. Flipping visible cover with a D&L jig and Tight Lines plastics have been fooling the bass big time. One of the reasons we moved here to Indiana was to be closer to Brookeville and this is exactly why. For a state not known much for its bass this lake is truly a gem.
We are prepping to leave tomorrow for Lake Fork in Texas for a Skeeter Owner’s Tournament. It is a long drive but always good to arrive at those events and see our friends from the tour.
After the Skeeter event it is back up to Little Rock, AR for the 7th Elite event. I’m in 30th place in the standings, right inside the Classic cut. You can imagine how I would love to do well in this event to have a little breathing room at the last event. We’ll see. I’m ready to go. My guess is baits that displace a lot of water will be key on the Arkansas River so I thinking Brass ‘N Blades will be the deal. Stay tuned!
